This workshop is for Border Collies & Collie Crosses who react negatively to other dogs:
- You spend your time anxiously scanning the horizon for incoming dogs
- The sight of a dog running towards you makes you panic
- You’re considering muzzling your dog when out as you’re scared of what might happen
- Dog walking isn’t relaxing, it’s usually quite stressful!
These dogs with big feelings can be anything from young dogs to middle-aged adults. They need a bit more training and understanding to help them cope with social situations.
During this workshop we’ll be covering..
- How to help your collie feel more confident around other dogs
- Reading canine body language to help avoid small whispers of discomfort becoming loud shouts!
- Lead handling skills to help keep control in difficult situations
- Recall skills to redirect our dogs away from trouble
My dog is so easily distracted and doesn’t do well in a group class – can I spectate instead?
You will learn lots of valuable information by both taking part with your dog, or watching as a spectator too.
Where is the workshop held?
The workshop will be held at Laverock Holiday Cottages.
About your instructor
I’ve belonged to 7 amazing collies, bred 15 talented collie puppies over two litters, and fostered 3 troubled collies before finding them their forever homes.
Not to mention how many collies and their owners I’ve helped throughout my 15 years as a dog trainer. I guess you’d say I’m a bit of a fan of the breed!
Border Collies and their crosses can be amazing dogs. But they can also be really hard work too!
That’s why I help collie owners how to support their dog with their reactivity.
Join me for this workshop and I’ll help you achieve this too!
