If you like fish, you might be tempted to eat these yourself – they smelt delicious as I took them fresh out of the oven! However when using for training treats, you might want to have some baby wipes to hand – you might not appreciate the lingering odour after your training session 😉
Ingredients
560g Smoked Haddock (with skins removed)
250g Plain Flour
200ml Milk
200g Soft Cheese (optional)
3 tsp Turmeric Powder
2 Large Eggs
Instructions
Pop your smoked haddock in your food processor and blitz until all broken up. Add your flour, eggs, milk, soft cheese (if using) and turmeric powder. Blitz until all mixed up and then tip out into a suitable size baking tray (I like the Asda Foil Tray Bakes), then bake at 180°C in a fan oven for between 20-30 minutes or until a skewer comes away clean and the cake feels firm to the touch.
Cut up into small pieces and either use straight away or store in a fridge for 48 hours. This will make quite a large amount so you can also freeze your treats to use another day.
